As in many parts of the world, sick prisoners are an integral part of the struggle for rights, freedoms and democracy in Turkey.
The political power wants to kill the political prisoners, whom it sees as enemies, out of sight, under isolation conditions, over time, and slowly.
Isolation and unhealthy conditions of captivity make people seriously ill.
Political power wants to kill the prisoners it has made sick by preventing their treatment.
We, the outsiders, can break this policy with ownership and solidarity.

Other sick prisoners will benefit from the entitlement of sick prisoner Ali Osman Köse.
Ali Osman Köse, now 65 years old, has been in prison for 37 years. Turkey is a country ruled by fascism. Even the smallest struggle for democracy results in imprisonment. This was the case in the past and remains so today. Ali Osman Köse is a revolutionary imprisoned for his struggle for democracy and independence.
But that doesn’t mean he’s “guilty”.
He spent 21 years of it in so-called F-Type prisons in solitary confinement.
He was severely tortured when he was arrested.
One of the survivors of the prison massacre operation carried out simultaneously on 20 prisons on December 19, 2000.
His captivity always took place in difficult conditions.
The Turkish state could not break his will.
He could not destroy his revolutionary faith.
But unfortunately, it has made him a very sick person physically.
Ali Osman Köse has serious ailments that pose many risks to his life.
These include arteriosclerosis and high blood pressure to name a few.
Ali Osman Köse is physically unable to sustain his life on his own right now.
He can’t walk on his own, can’t take care of his own needs, is extremely forgetful and should actually be evacuated immediately.
However, ATK (Forensic Medicine Institute) gave him a report that he could “stay in prison”.
Moreover, 2 doctors attend the examination, 1 of them does not look at all, the other half looks at it, with the signatures of 10 doctors.
Without mentioning the cancer in his left kidney in the report.
However, according to the statements of independent physicians, a 9 cm tumor in the left kidney can develop between 2-4 years and it is NOT possible to be seen.
The “silent destruction” policy of the political power would be realized through Ali Osman Köse by using cancer as a weapon.
Ali Osman Köse had a 9 cm tumor in his left kidney, doctors reported that “this is life-threatening”.
They stated that he needed surgery urgently. However, in March, they operated on cancer at the end of May, where they could not delay the diagnosis any longer and needed urgent surgery.
They waited for the cancer to spread further.
To prevent this, the lawyers applied to the Constitutional Court in April for Ali Osman Köse to be released.
However, they expected him to die of cancer at the AYM. They have made a decision only now, on June 20, for the application in April.
They rejected the release of Ali Osman Köse.
The constitutional court is the highest court in Turkey.
There is no possibility of appealing the decision made.
Thus, the legal ways regarding the release of Ali Osman Köse are now completely closed in Turkey.
The case will go to the ECtHR through legal means.
The Constitutional Court consists entirely of judges determined by the government.
Before the AKP, it was not possible to say that the Constitutional Court was independent.
But at least they wanted to make their decisions conform to the law, if only a little.
But right now they don’t even need that anymore. They make decisions entirely in line with the interests of the government.
It is not possible to talk about independent judiciary.
We would like to remind you: The same Constitutional Court rejected Ebru Timtik’s request for release on August 11, 2020, saying “there is no risk of death”.
Ebru Timtik was martyred on 27 August 2020.
They wanted to kill Ali Osman Köse with the cooperation of 4 institutions:
1-) ATK (Forensic Medicine Institute): Report that he can stay in prison without proper examination while giving.
2-) Prison sentenced him to live with cancer for years by not sending him to the hospital.
4-) The Ministry of Justice and AKP fascism are responsible for all of them and instructing them.
Hospitals, prison administrations, Forensic Medicine Institute, execution judges, and the Constitutional Court are signing the silent deaths of sick prisoners in isolation cells. Prisons are not places to be treated healthily.
Isolation is the main reason that produces the disease.
Isolation KILLS the prisoners, not the disease.
The policies of revenge and destruction directed at sick prisoners are killing.
