While Turan Aktaş was Resisting for 583 Days, Şişli Municipality Decided Not to Pay and Hire
Turan Aktaş is a worker who resisted for 583 days for his job, bread and honor. He was fired from Şişli Municipality and will resist until he returns to his job. Today, Kent-Yol, the interlocutor company affiliated to Şişli Municipality, called Turan Aktaş’s lawyers and said that they would pay Turan Aktaş the money decided to be paid by the court, but they would not hire him. They ignored the resistance that lasted for 583 days. With this decision, they humiliated our resistance. They said, ‘Resist no matter how much you resist, we will not hire you.’
The CHP’s Şişli Municipality, headed by MuammerKeskin, embarked on projects greater than its size, and relied on the CHP to avoid falling under it. This decision is the decision of the CHP.
We, as the Revolutionary Workers’ Movement, are calling out to the CHP: This resistance is our resistance. This resistance is the resistance of the proletariat against the bourgeoisie. It is the resistance of the workers against the enemies of the workers and the people against the enemies of the people. It is the resistance of the revolution against the counter-revolution. We will not step back. You will give Turan Aktaş’s job back. We will take that right away from you. Resist as much as you want, you are not right, you are not legitimate. This is why you will be defeated.
This decision is the clearest expression of the CHP’s hostility towards workers. We will tell this to the whole world. The CHP will not be able to act comfortably wherever we are, we will expose it to the public. We will tell you that if the CHP comes to power, it will be no different from the AKP. THINK NOW!
